'TWO ENS MAKE AN EM Officially the Red and Black is defined as a semi- monthly publication written for the purpose of dissemi- nating to the high school and its friends, brief articles of general and professional interest, information concern- ing the activities of the school, and such items of humor as may be deemed advisable. The Red and Black is published by a high school staff primarily for high school consumption. It is in the Red and Black that the student boasts his teams. It is there that he promotes its activities, exhibits his wit and exercises his imagination. 26

THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THE CLASS OF lil We, the Class of 1941 of Bellaire High School, City of Bellaire, County of Belmont, State of Ohio, being of full age and of sound mind and memory Qoh, yeah?j, do hereby make and declare this document to be the last will and testament of said class, hereby revoking any and all former wills made by us. - AR'r1c:L12 I Section I-In fulfillment of our debts: A. We hereby authorize the installation of any process whereby it will be possible for future students to sleep through Miss Smith's classes. B. We hereby authorize the purchase of a pitch pipe for Miss Ewing whereby she may obtain the proper tone for Number Next! Section I I : . A. To the Board of Education we leave our hearty thanks for the work they have done in making our education the best possible. Section III: A. To certain members of our loving faculty we leave the following: Mr. Ault-A rocking chair to use when discussing the fall of Rome. Mr. Polinsky-A new joke book. Miss Houston-A device to ban orators from the library. Mr. Santavicca-A couple of Ciceros and Demosthenes again to win a district tournament. AR1'Ici.12 II Section I: ' A.
