...-n V, ,.,.,..... . ...W Coming to school is often a leisurely affair. lt is the habit of the majority of people to time their coming so advantageously that they do not spend more than five or ten extra minutes at school. Strolling is the most popular means of reaching school. Busses, street cars and bicycles come in for a good share, too. Some unfortunates reach here at seven-thirty. Others, by bus, arrive every five or ten minutes thereafter. After the early bus, in rush the band boys for rehearsals. Then the students who wish an extra few minutes of study, or a few minutes for loitering in the hall. From fall to early summer, we followed a varied course of activities, lessons during the week, football on Saturday, an occasional vacation period, assembliesfin- spiring, educational and entertaining each Friday, winter with basketball taking the lead in sports, clubs demanding our attention, lessons becoming longer as the days shorten, hope for a long eveningsjust doing nothing- fast fading away, spring with scholarship exams, cram- ming and more cramming for the finals, track, tennis, class plays, proms, chapels and operetta-and we drop into the fast stepping march toward june and commencement.
