For tonight is graduation When we'll pass beyond the door, To be separated from this life Of school days . , . evermore: And our very hearts are racing In excitement we behold A future bright and shining ' Full of happiness untold! I But we'll pause here on the threshold And collect sweet memories, That to these pleasant years just past Are now our only keys. A BOOK OF MEMORIES Someday, while glancing through y0ur souvenirs you will come upon the 1950 Bee Tee Vie. On its pages you will find many pictures and compositions which will remind you of your high school days. Our greatest worry was finan-:ing our annual, Proceeds from the Bee Tee Vie Dance Senior Class Play, Bake Sale, and the sale of candy, books, Christmas cards, and wrapping paper soon solved our prob- lem. The subscription and advertising cam- paign were a tremendous success and aided us in financing our Bee Tee Vee. Much time, effort, and fun have entered into this book which you will pack among your souvenirs. We, the Staff, are proud of our product and sincerely hope that now and in future years you will enjoy and keep it so you may reminisce and chuckle over the 1950 Bee Tee Vie. The staff wishes to thank Mrs, Biehl for helping us earn lmoney, Mr. Shaffer for taking pictures and Mr. Bandy for printing our annual. - THE BELL ECHO The Bell Echo, with its very capable ad- visor, Mrs. Mary H, Bortz, has succeeded in the past three years in issuing a printed paper despite the fact that the cost of such is much higher than of the mimeographed type. The money for the pap-er, which is self supporting, is earned in many ways. Sub- scriptions are the main source of revenue. The average number of subscriptions is more than one half the high school enrol- lment, This year the staff held a Home Talent Show, a Bake Sale, a Square Dance, and sold refreshments at the Donkey Base- ball game. Aside from financing the monthly paper, the money is spent in other ways. Each year Bell Echo letters are issued to Seniors who have earned them by meeting all the requirements. These include at least three years on the staff, two of which must be the junior and senior. Also, at graduation, a medal is awarded to the senior who is outstanding in the field of Journalism, With one of the largest and most indust- rious stafls in many years the Bell Echg is happy t0 report a most successful year.
