SUMMER FUN - SUMMER FANTASY Small flags. Band, Tall Flags, and the dance class per- formed for the first time of the new school year on Friday August 21, in the upstairs gym The theme of the show was, Summer fun Summer fan- tacy . It was directed by Mrs. Laurel Steinhoff and Mr Jay E. Rogers. The program consisted of skits, and routines from the Elvis Presley 50 ' s, to the Punk Rock 80 ' s. Tall flags performed for the crowd in fifties uniforms while small flags were hip on Rock Lobster. They had it all in their punk rock shades and threads . Some of the songs that they performed to were A Cho- rus line. Hang ' em High, Jail House Rock, Another one bites the dust, and Small Flag Copt and Lieutenants, did their outstanding performance to the song Turn me loose by the group Lover Boy. A large crowd, good participation, and good perfor- mances is what made the summer time show a real fantacy 1 Sally. Barbara, and Elizabeth keep their hats on while Kristi tips her hat off to the audience, 2, Tall Flags and band await Mr Rogers next command 3, Margie and Monica do their punk routine to Rock Lob- ster 4. Michelle leads the flags back to their prison cell 5 Tall Flags show their spirit by bringing the 50 ' s back to Bell 6, The Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest 22

ONE ACT PLAYS Plays are a real pleasure for the students of Bell Highi. especially if ttiey are held during school time. On August nineteen and twenty, the Bell High produc- tions brought to us The Ugly Duckling , and also Sun- day cost Five Pesos . It was a real big success. Everyone had a blast at the performance. We are all looking forward to the next play that the Bell productions has to bring us.
