Those students tapped for membership were Lucy Castleman, jane Day, Dan Morse, Langston Haygood, Randall Yelverton, Beth Brannon, and Robert Hann. The faculty advisors, and members of the fraternity are Dr. julia Ivanoff and Prof. Lamar Neal. . .classical languages Eta Sigma Phi is a national honorary fraternity for students of Latin and Greek. The Delta Epsilon chapter was founded at Belhaven College on May 6, 1963, forming from a Classical Club, Phi Sigma, founded in February, 1961. Students maintaining a B average in the studies of these languages are eli- gible for membership. Cary art club. . .furthers appreciation Cary Art Club is one-of Belhaven's oldest organizations, as it dates back to the l920's, when it was founded by the former art in- structor, Bessie Cary Lemly, after whom the club is named. The Cary Art Club seeks to foster the appreciation of art and to make its members aware of art in daily life.
