Class Poem 'Larry Elmore is really a sad case. With him we girls never got to first base. All he could get through that beautiful pate, Was visions of some kind of new fishing bait. One of our Seniors, really good at battin', Found it too much to take second year Latin. Scholastically, well she's got a good brain, But to use it, to her seemed too much a strain. In case you haven't guessed, Ruth White is the name. Mildred Parker is our gadabout For one whole year for Marshall she did shout. Mid is the flirt of the '54 class And to look upon, she's a very fair lass. Mary Michael is our secretary to be. To Leo's heart she holds the key. She's going to marry him, so I hear Then never again will Sal shed a tear. Glenna Williamson, the Senior big brain, will end up in a hall of fame, If she first doesn't blow up a chemistry lab, where her tests at times were bad. The smells that issued from the floor below-- Who should be blamed? Ah ---------- Now you should know. Linda Burnett is a musical kid, From Donnie McK. she says she'll never skid. Those predictions have been madebefore So stick around, folks, and see what's in store. Martha Hayes is the one to settle down to marry Bob and quit running around. She and Bob will have a nice home ---- Then never again will Hayes go on the roam. Ilena Palmer is the most silent lass, and can be depended upon in government class Bergie to us is a very good friend, To help, over backwards she'd bend. Richard Behm--good basketball he did play, For his senio-Rita over Marshall way. At Ohio State, we wish him success, And hope he doesn't flunk too many math tests. Donald Walker is a handsome sort of lad. When it comes to shooting basketball, he really isn't bad. He's California bound, so they say, We wish him all success along the way. Wilma Jean isn't much of a poet, as this stab at one must surely show it She'll be a telephone operator---About her plans she can smile, Unless the Army gets Bennie, before they walk down the aisle. BY Wilma Jean McKenzie
