For 32 years she has been teacher, librarian and friend to the students at Belfast. She has known children from their infant days, showing them that books can be fun, to their last days as seniors, when the students consult her as resource librarian. We wish Miss McCarthy the best kind of retirement, and we wish her to know that she will always be remembered at Belfast Central School. Thank you Miss Mc- Carthy. Larry Cole retired December 20, 1974 after twenty years of service as custodian at Belfast Central School. He was also a bus driver for twelve years, driving the Tibbett’s Hill-- White Creek Road route. Besides his regular route he drove bus for sports and other extracurricular activities. He enjoyed his job very much; es- pecially working with young people, which is what he will miss the most. He was a hunter safety instructor for 13 years. He plans to use his free time for more hunting. We will all miss having Larry around school and we’re sorry to see him go. Good luck, Larry. MR. LARRY COLE 4 Principal Mr. Paul Vienna This year, Belfast Central School students and faculty welcomed an old friend, Mr. Paul Vienna to his new position as Supervising Princiapl. His fine record over the years as coach, and as Vice Principal as well as his sincere interest in every mem - ber of the student body made him a popular choice for the important position he now holds. The Class of '75 would like to say thanks to two people who have meant a lot to us. They have done a geat deal of work to help us in many ways. It was by their guidance that we succeeded in putting on plays and selling snything from popcorn to arthritic pens. They were the ones who convinced the Board of Education and faculty that we deserved a senior trip and senior privileges and we really appreciate it. Again we'd like to say, Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Heaney. 41 Class Row 1: Ed Horning, Terry Miller, Kathy Lilly, Mary Dedrick, Cindy Mahoney, De Metcalf, Gerald Chamberlain, Cindy Vienna, Miles Enrlich, Mr. Heaney! It is a periodical aimed at our own students and filled with articles bringing them up-to-date on news around school sports news and grade happenings. On the lighter side, the paper aims to publish creative short stories and poems with contests for each. One of the favorite features is Dear Laura , a students' advice column.
