Of the twenty-three students that make up the Senior Class of Belfast Central School only sixteen started out with us. They were the following: Linda Aylor, Kathryn Austin, Mark Calcogno, lla Chalker, Randolf Collins, Rhea Ann Edmunds, Kathleen Foley, Jean Gleason, John Haskins, Ronald Luce, Robert Nichols, Robert Rich, David Spencer, Margaret Thompson, William Tucker, and Michael Unfus. In kindergarten most of us went in for art. Sometimes we painted on anything but the paper, but we did have fun. Our teachers were Mrs. Haskins and Mrs. Callen. We took siestas every afternoon. We were divided in the first grade under the supervision of Mrs. Chamberlain and Mrs. Brainard. Nancy Fuller from Rushford joined us this year. This year we learned how to print our names. We were divided in the second grade also. During this time Mrs. Brainard had both first and second grade. Our other teacher was Mrs. Spalding. We started adding two and two together and began getting five. Our third grade teachers were Miss Jerman and Mrs. Fritz. This year we learned how to do homework. Our teachers in fourth grade were Miss Carpenter and Mrs. Chaffee. We attended the school in Caneadea. We enjoyed isolation from the rest of the school. We think they rather enjoyed it too. Our fifth grade teachers were Mrs. Damon and Mr. Boyer. Mrs. Damon always took her classes to Buffalo and ours was no exception. However, ours was the first class that was unable to get tickets to the Shrine Circus. We went to the Buffalo Zoo and the Buffalo Museum of Science instead. Our teachers in sixth grade were Mrs. Gallmann and Mrs. Bennett. Bruce Blair from Buffalo and Dennis Grastorf joined our class this year. We enjoyed this year because it was our last in elementary school. Mr. Boyer had to cope with us again in seventh grade. We had made junior high at last. Ronald Thompson and Andrew Gall joined our class this year. This was the last year Mr. Boyer taught in our school. We were sorry to see him go. Mr. Tanner was our teacher in eighth grade. This was an important year in our lives because we graduated from junior high into senior high. We put on a program that the whole school enjoyed (we hope). Two more additions during our high school years made the senior class complete. James Simmons joined us during ninth grade and Linda Palmer joined us in eleventh. In high school a rapid succession of teacher changes took place in the Business and Language Departments. Perhaps we proved too much for those who came and left so rapidly. Others, however, proved to be more stalwart and have remained here to help guide us throughout our high school years. These stalwart persons are Mr. Standford, Math; Mrs. Taber, Homemaking; Mrs. Cornett, Social Studies; Mr. Curcio, Science; Mrs. Quinton, English I and II; and Miss McCarthy, our librarian and standing in English teacher. This year some brave new teachers joined the faculty in our school. They are Mr. Mix, Business; Mr. Heaney, English; and Miss Accurso, Spanish. We Seniors would like to express our appreciation to all the teachers we have had for their help in guiding us through these very important years. We will always remember their kindness. 17 i-OO: lOw G) — JUNIORS President Vice President Secretary T reasurer Student Council Advi sors Stan Fritz Brian Davenport Berry Farwell Katy Palmer Celeste Curcio Tom Lowe Mr. Heaney, Mrs. Covell D.
