Three short skits were our contribution to the Christmas party this year. In June we ordered our class rings. we sponsored the Senior Reception which everyone enjoyed. As Juniors, we elected the following officers: President ------- Bob Morse Vice President--Dave Hodgen Secretary ------- Bernice Mish Treasurer ------- Bill Hubbard Class Reporter--Madeline Fitzgerald Adviser --------- Mrs. LeGrand Our first big undertaking this year was the Junior Stand. we all took part in making it a big success. At Christmas we presented a pageant which every- one agreed was very beautiful. Since the ORACLE, a staff was chosen. the Juniors publish the third issue of Editors-in-chief ---- -Bob Lindquist, Lois Rhodes Business Manager ----- Bob Morse Literary Editor ------ Madeline Fitzgerald Sports Editor -------- John Morrow Art Editor ----------- Nancy Booth News Editor ------ ----Don Dugre Alumni Editor -------- Bernice Mish It was now time for the long awaited Junior Prom. we chose as our theme Stardust and the hall was beautifully decorated to fit the occasion. Blanchettc Eaton was May Queen and her attendants were Betsy Brown, Shirley Cutting, Elaine Bentley, and Nancy Booth. In the spring we had a very successful paper drive and many of us were in the school chorus which sang at the music festival in Turners Fall. At graduation eleven members of our class received Pro Merito pins. 17

As Seniors, we elected the following class officers: President ------- Dave Hodgen Vice President--Leland Miner Secretary ------- Bob Lindquist Treasurer ---- ---Bill Hubbard Class Reporter--Madeline Fitzgerald Adviser --------- Mrs. LeGrand We got busy right away by having an initiation dance and a paper drive. our float, depicting the scene of Pocahontas and John Smith, won us third prize in the Fair Day parade. we soon elected a yearbook staff which included: Editor-in-Chief ------ Lois Rhodes Business Manager ----- Bob Morse Photography ---------- Don Bock Art Editor --------- --Nancy Booth Literary Editor ------ Ann Young Sports Editor -------- Bill Hubbard News Editor- ------ ---Bob Lindquist Type Editor -------- --Esther Pierce In October class pictures were taken by Brown Studio. Our next project was the Sadie Hawkins Dance which everyone supported. Bernice Mish headed the Christmas card drive in which all the Seniors worked very hard. For the Christmas party, the whole class took part in a pageant. Mrs. Tague's Problems of Democracy Class sponsored a mock election for the school to choose a Senior to represent B.H.S. at Boston on Student Government Day. In a close contest Dave Hodgen defeated Betsy Brown. After finally choosing nJune Madn as our class play, the following cast was chosen: Penny wood ------- Chuck Harris ----- Mrs. Wood -------- Elmer Tuttle ----- Dre w0Od. Cn the morning lof April 2h we left on our long awaited class trip during which we visited ysuch famous places as: Empire State Building, washington Monument, Radio City Music Hall, United Nations Building, and F.B.I. Building. we arrived home tired but eager to start preparations for graduation. K
