I • V.Vi.. viewy %d t I - « ••.•.« Let us here review the school days of 1952-53 at Belcher! On the following pages you will find a record of the happenings of the student body and faculty members - - some are happy and some are sad experiences, but we hope they portray for you a likeness of that eventful year. You, students and faculty, have made the year and we, the staff, have recorded it as we saw it. 'Ifetui Svy Sta ‘Dedication Giving us support in all that we undertake, help- ing us with our problems at all times and making many opportunities for all future development are those so dear to us - - our parents. In appreciation of their constant prayers and efforts in our behalf we dedicate this record of our lives during the school year of 1952-1953. 0PfUttclfuU d Uteddoye BELCHER High school POWELL A. LAYTON. PRINCIPAL BELCHER. LOUISIANA Dear Friends: February 11, 1953 Into this book the annual staff has assembled for us a pictorial story of our school days during this session. We have made many new friends and strengthened our old friendships while others have moved on but are not forgotten. It has been said that a friend is a person who still likes you despite your accomplishments. Perhaps this is putting the cart before the horse but there is always a genuine challenge in success and in meeting these problems we will find that our friends can be a most valuable asset. As you turn the pages of this 1952-1953 EAGLE, recall those days and occasions which were most pleasant and you will discover that had it not been for the close relationships enjoyed, there would be nothing to remember. Cherish your memories of past acquaintances and look to the future with a living faith in Him, who placed us here as His children and let us do unto His Kingdom on Earth as He would have us do. Congratulations to the annual staff and Mrs. Gleason for a job well done. Best wishes always from your friend at the Belcher School. Powell A. Layton Our ‘Tftdten, Oh Belcher High our Alma Mater, fairest in the land, Through all the years, through smiles and tears, We need thy guiding hand.
