Principalgs Message to the 1968 Graduates . -1 .zz 5,-.'.-.-g:I-1v,f.'11g:gI r.-1-zfivbiiiEr-If-3-25131111?ar1:1:1?:'f2G:i1?:?555-:2s32r:?f51?fsi5fisfaE':?:Ii:f:if2EiizliiziffiR'5'4ff-f'-:.-.-.'- s,...,, . ., ,,,se, ,. . .t It has been repeated often that the first two Commandments, love for God and love for fellow man, are the foundations of all the others. Ponder this awhile, and I am certain that you cannot think otherwise. For if you love God, you will certainly give Him the things that are Hisg and if you love your fellowman, you will treat him with respect and dignity, never in any way ruling against him or his. Think of what we might accomplish, working together rather than against each other. Murder of any kind would be unheard of as would taking that which rightfully belongs to another. Wars would be taboo because if we had love for one another rather than envy for what others hold, there would be no reason for war. Poverty would be eradicated if we would share the abundant ma- terials and wealth of this great world. God, in His Principal Vincent A. Palisr infinite mercy and charity, would surely open the way to help us wipe. out disease, pestilencefplaguac if we would really love Him and the creatures He created. Does this sound like the ideal world - Utopia? Perhaps it does, but what is wrong in believing in THIS ideal? We do in others of much less im- portance. Who knows that living as God meant us to - in perfect compatibility with Him, our fellow man, and ourselves - that this cannot be attained. None of you, I am sure, is perfectly happy with things as they are. Why not begin a new way - the way God has taught us? You will leave us soon, and you will begin a new life. When you do, place emphasis on two things - love for God and love for man. How happy you will be if you can livewith these upper- most in your hearts and minds! wwf 4 aaa

Ass't Prirtctpal Iver Carroll To the 1968 Senior Class, I extend con- gratulations and best wishes for a happy and successful future. As you young ladies and gentlemen leave high school, you are confronting a world that is quite different from the one faced even a short year ago. Turmoil and restlessness within our territorial boundaries and extremely pre- carious situations abroad tend to make your tasks complex and your responsibilities glf3Ve.
