Art - Spirit of Aesthetic Appreciation Iliff' Mrs. Jean Anderson watches students as they display their artistic talents. The spirit of aesthetic appreciation is fostered in our Art Department. Through the study of art, students learn to realize the beauty ofthe world and to express this beauty through the use of their talents. The pro- gram varies from the history of art to the painting of actual portraits. The Art Department also performs many services for the school throughout the year. One such service is the drawing of the football posters to boost spirit for each of the football games. The Depart- ment is also responsible for the beautiful framed pictures and posters which decorate the halls of the school for various occasions. Among the many studies they take are the following: sewing, cooking, child care, budgeting household time and money, and several other studies needed in the efficient running of a home.
