The increasing number of successes along the road to improving humanity and easing the suffering have increased the interest of students in scientific experimentation. Students today are offered several courses of science: Chem Study, PSSC Physics Chemistry II, General Science, BSCS Biology, and BSCS-SM Biology. The latter two courses offer an experimental and dif- ferent approach to teaching biology. Each course in the Science Department has special instruments and visual aids to help the students in their laboratory experiments. ln this way, the student not only benefits from the study of principles and laws, but is given the opportunity to discover things for himself. Social tudies - Spirit 0 The spirit of understanding the governments of today and the people in these governments is developed through the Social Studies Department. The many different courses offered by this de- partment give the student knowledge not only of his own country's history, government, and eco- nomic system, but also an understanding of the governments and development of other countries. With this knowledge and understanding of major governmental systems, Social Studies also gives the students a keener insight into the problems of the world.
