Reading Enriches Spirit 0 Gaining Knowledge The spirit of gaining knowledge in any field of study is enriched and simplified through the course of reading en- richment. This course strengthens the foundation of a per- son's education and enables him to obtain the most from each subject. The modern reading laboratory equipment here at Behrman makes it easier for students to improve their reading skill. Speech - Spirit of Communication The spirit of communication with ones fellow man is incorporated in the Speech Department. The art of speaking with clarity, meaning, and self-confidence is the goal that every student enrolled in this course is striving to achieve. This art must be developed through coaching in the fundamentals of speech and through nu- merous classroom experiences. Included in the various studies of the speech classes is instruction in makeup, stage, and acting. The speech classes this year, attended the Repertory Theatre workshop, at which they gained a greater understanding of the performing arts.
