Today, most teachers place a great deal of stress on the spirit of enjoying literature, rather than just studying it. It is important not only to read, learn, and sometimes memorize literature, but also to appreciate its value and to understand its deeper mean- ing. In our English Department, other courses, including the study of grammar, and Business English, also play an important role in the curriculum of students. Through the Repertory Theatre, tapes, records, visual aids, paper backs, and panel dis- cussions, the learning and appreciation of English courses have been made progressively more interesting for the student.
