They worked hard under the able direction of Mrs. L. Chico and her able committee. Czen ce az? . Our third annual Science Fair was held in March, 1959, and it proved once again to be a huge success. The participation of the students was large, and some of the projects students at Behrman I Karl Brown's project, 'America's Defense, won first prize in general science. In the eighth grade section, Charles Birdsong was thirdg Robert Rabolais, second, and Jimmy Estopinal, third. Iimmy's project, a minia- ture working salt mine, also won top honors at the Regional Fair, and was entered in the State Fair. In the 7th Grade division, Robert Bottoms won first place, Darnell Hickey second, and Marilyn Gar- rett third. exhibited were quite outstanding. At Pelican Girls' State Behrman was represented by Ann Garrett Charlotte Donohue, Connie Gondrella, and Linda Braai, 51 These Junior High students are learning, firsthand, how the library operates. These Senior High student li- brary assistants have helped Mrs. Evelyn Cormier, librarian, for several years.
