BHS creatures are very competitive. They play a game that they call football on a dustbowl-like field that is known as the Pit. These creatures are known for having a lot of pride and work hard for this gameg they do not suffer defeat easily. There are also other creatures that are as much a part of the game as .the players. One thing we have observed this year is that these Earthlings,' have a tendency to group together. Two of the larger groups are the Future Farmers of America, and the Future Homemakers of America. The members of these groups are very talented creatures. In the F.F.A. the members attend fairs, participate in speech and judging contests, and learn to cut and weld in their shop. The F.H.A. members learn about life after marriage, attend rallies, and raise money for worthy causes. To get an F.arthlings,' view we asked a few, what does F.F.A. or F.H.A. mean to You. Brett Morris -F.F.A. gives me a chance to go all over the state and the country and participate in contests and events that will bring recognition to me, and our chapter. The F.F.A. is one of the best parts of my life. Sharon Roberts -To me the F.H.A. is a way of broading my learning. Probably the most important thing is that every year I learn something new about myself I like the fact that I can enjoy myself while I learn.
