TOP OF THE WORLD From our strategic position in locker number twelve we can observe the strange happenings of these inferior creatures. At approximately fifteen hundred hours a strange sound echoes through the building, and the still silence in the hall is broken by the faint rustling from within the rooms. From the rooms emerge 267 talking, laughing DEMONS. The front doors are flung open and waiting for the mob are twelve large yellow vehicles called buses, and lots of multicolored smaller crafts called cars. As we follow these strange beings they travel forth to new and different places. Some go to quench their thirsts at places called drive-insf' others return to a place called home. From our year of observing these DEMONS we have witnessed many things that have affected their lives. This year a powerful influencial male Earthling called the Pope', died, and as we watched many of these Demons', shed water from their eyes. Less than thirty-six days later the new Pope died and once again these earthlings mourned. There was another happening which seemed important to these creatures, it was called an election. After all the votes were counted it was announced that David Boren would be their new Senator, and George Nigh would be their new Governor. we-ig Q Opposite top has rung. In this extraordinary place where I have landed, the creatures all enjoy a thing they call uhomecomingf, This yearis festivity was very pleasant. Usually the Wind is blowing furiously or it's raining cats and dogs, but this year it was perfect. The twirlers, cheerleaders, pep club and drill team formed a Walkway to honor all the royalty as the band played Traces.,, Deb Strain was crowned in front ofa crowd of 1500g and although the football team didn't win the game, they were within ten yards of making the winning touchdown. 11
