But due to the rain we had that day the project fell through. Even though we didn't do much this year we feel that 1986 has been a very profitable year for BHS. The boys basketball and the speech teams each brought home second place trophies from the state tournaments. Our one-act play came home with a third place in state. Other groups that qualified for state were: problem solving, boys and girls track, and golf. We would like to congratulate the students for making this year the best it could be! We started off the week with Nerd Day. The following days were: Punk Rock Day, Beach Bum Day, Cartoon Character Day, and Purple and White Day. The Junior class received First, second and third place for the downtown window competition. We held our annual bon fire and snake dance on Thursday night and afterwards spiced it up a little by TPing the school lawn and having a massive food Fight! Immediately alter school on Friday we had a pep rally downtown to get excited for the game that night. We lost our football game to Bancroft-Rosalie. It was the First homecoming game Beemer had lost in ten years. But we had a lot of fun at the dance on Saturday night. The music was furnished by Complete Music of Omahr ▼ Tuff? On No- vember 15 a dance was held to raise money. Then on May 11 the members of the NHS went out for supper at the Brass Lan- tern in Norfolk. The new mem- bers were awaken at midnight one night to be initiated by the existing members. They did a number of exciting things and were then served root beer floats. On May 12 they were giv- en a formal initiation.
