DAKOTA CITY This was the first game of the Basketball season for the Bobcats. This was a home game for Dakota City. The boys from Dakota City played a good game and came out in front of Beemer by a score of 56 to 41. Beemer had the lack of experienced men on the floor and they did not play the best ball. SNYDER The Bobcats played the Snyder Basketball team at Bancroft because this was to be a home game for Beemer. The Snyder boys beat the Bobcats by a score of 54 to 33. The Bobcats team did not have a good night for playing basketball that night. CRAIG The Beemer Bobcats traveled to Craig on the 11th of December. The Bobcats played a good game and were out in front of the Craig boys all the way until the last quarter. The game ended with the score 28 for Beemer and 31 for Craig. The high scoring man for Beemer was Koenig with 9 points and the high scoring man for Craig was Bromm and Raver who also had 9 points each. ROSALIE On the 15th of December the Bobcats traveled to Rosalie to play another Basketball game. The game was a close game all the way, but the Rosalie boys held the lead during the entire game. The Rosalie boys went on to win over Beemer by a score of 45 to 40. The high scorer for Rosalie was Slaughter with 13 points and the high scorer for Beemer was Koenig with 15 points. WEST POINT The Beemer Bobcats traveled to West Point on the 16th of December to play the West Point team. The Bobcats had hopes for the game but were sadly disapointed. The game was a close game all the way to the finish with West Point leading at the half time with a score of 31 to 28. The game finished with a score of 58 to 52 in West Points favor. UEHLING The Beemer Boys traveled up to Lyons to play the Uehling boys in a game of Basketball. The Beemer boys were out to win their first game of the season. The game being played with much hopes set the Beemer Bobcats on fire. Beemer was ahead all the way during the game until the fourth quarter when Koenig fouled out on five fouls. After losing Koenig the Bobcats started to lose heavily. With the score all tied up at 43 with five seconds left to play one of the Uehling boys fouled and the free shots are what won the game for Beemer. The final score was Beemer 45 Uehling 43. The high point man for Beemer was Oswald with 17 points and the high point man for Uehling was Stover with 17 points. THURSTON The Beemer Bobcats traveled to Pender to play Thurston which was a home game for Beemer. The Beemer Boys did not have the pep they had the game before. They could not get some of their plays to work and they could not hit on their shots as the Thurston boys did. The game ended with the final score of 39 to 29 in favor of Thurston. The high point man for Beemer was Koenig with 10 points and the high point man for Thurston was Fletcher with 20 points. EMERSON (SACRED HEART) After Beemer had defeated Bancroft, they traveled to Emerson to play Sacred Heart. Beemer jumped to an early lead and led almost the entire game. The final score was Beemer 52 to Emerson’s 50. This was the second win in a row for the Beemer Bobcat's. Oswald was high point man with 18 and Koenig had 17 points. Beemer will play one more scheduled game before the District Tournament. The annual must be sent in for publication, so there will be no write up on the tournament. Beemer drew the top seeded team to play in the District, which is Belden. Good luck to the boys. 29

OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE RECORD The Second team of the Beemer Bobcats held a season offensive record of 26 points per game. Cuming County Tournament BANCROFT The Beemer Bobcats showed high prospects in the Cuming County Tournament. The first night of the Tournament the Beemer Bobcats tangled with the Bancroft Bulldogs. All through the game the Beemer boys played a very good game offensively and defensively. Beemer led the scoring all through the game. The high point man for Beemer was Koenig with 17 points and the high point man for Bancroft was Brummund with 31 points. The score at end of play was Beemer 58 Bancroft 48. W ISNER Beemer put up a good battle for the First place Trophy in the Cuming County Tournament. The Wisner Bulldogs did the same thing and were determined to w in. The Beemer Bobcats led the Wisner Bulldogs in scoring up to the half, after the half the Wisner boys pulled ahead to win the game by a score of 60 to 38. The high point man for Beemer was G. Ehrisman with 14 points. The high point man for Wisner was Ziegenbien with 18 points. PILGER The Beemer Bobcats traveled to West Point to play a home game with the Pilger boys. The boys from Pilger had a good well rounded ball club and also the height that Beemer did not have. The Beemer Bobcats put up a good battle in spite of the odds against them. The score at the half was 19 to 18 in Pilger’s favor. At the end the score was 56 to 44 in Pilger’s favor. HOSKINS The Beemer Bobcats traveled to Stanton to play another of their home games. The Beemer Bobcats played fine ball all the way through the game and had Hoskins boys scared. The game was all tied up at the fourth quarter with 24 to 24. Then in the last quarter the Hoskins boys got hot and potted some baskets and made a few more than Beemer did. The score at the end of the game was Hoskins 37 and Beemer 33. Logan Valley Tournament PENDER The Beemer Bobcats were set to play Pender the first night of the Logan Valley Tournament and the last game of the day. The Beemer Bobcats being the defending champions from last year were out to take the title again this year. During the game both the Beemer boys and the Pender boys put up a good battle all the way. At the sound of the final whistle the game was tied up at 4 7 to 4 7. The game went into an overtime with the Pender boys getting one more basket than Beemer did so the game ended with a score of 50 to 48 in favor ot Pender. The high scoring man for Beemer was Koenig and G. Ehrisman with 12 points apiece. The high point man for Pender was Shipwright with 26 points. Pender after winning from Beemer went on to take the Championship of the Tournament. BANCROFT The Beemer Bobcats traveled up to Bancroft to play the second game of the season with them. The first one being in the Cuming County Tournament. The Bobcats had high hopes of winning this game as they did the game they had with them before. The Beemer Bobcats were out scored at the half, but after the half the Beemer Bobcats came back to win the game by a score of 61 to 57 in favor of the Bobcats. The high scoring man for Beemer was Koenig with 20 points and the high point man for Bancroft was Brummund with 34 points. 30
