At the first meeting officers were elected. They were as follows: Victor Jording, President, Paul Jording. Vice-President, Rosemary Fehliman, Treasurer, and Marlys Albus, Secretary. These officers held the same offices all year. The Student Council sponsored a fine group of National School Assembly Programs again this year. For the benefit of keeping out of debt and also for the benefit of the students, the Student Council charged 20 cents admission to all the programs and the difference was paid for with the profits of the magazine drive. The magazine drive proved very successful again this year. Crowell-Colliers was used the same as last year. Besides this the Student Council had many small jobs too numerous to mention. So you can see that they had a busy and enjoyable year. 20

Moore Every six weeks the Senior Class publishes a school paper. The “Bobcat Tales”, consists of editorials, high school and grade school news, church news. Senior personalities, sports, jokes, and business advertising. Everyone enjoys reading the “Bobcat Tales”, as much as we enjoy putting them out. ANNUAL STAFF We Seniors of this year have selected an annual which was printed by the Walsworth Brothers. We chose a book which will protect the precious memories of the Senior Class and the school days for years to come. Through the co-operation of the business men of Beemer and of adjoining towns, they have made possible for us to publish this annual. The Seniors wish to thank all the people who had any- thing to do with making our annual a success. The pictures in this annual have been taken by T. H. Rivers and Genelli Studios of Sioux City. We think they are very fine pictures, which also aid in the publishing of a better annual. The Senior Class under the direction of Mr. Moore our annual sponsor, have given our time, and effort in making this annual. This annual has been published with the feeling that our time and effort has not been wasted. In the. years to come this book will bring back many memories of our years in school. 19

Freshman Initiation was held on September 25. The Seniors made all the arrangements for this event. Each Freshman was supposed to bring shoe polish for the Seniors shoes or anyones shoes that the Seniors desired to have polished. Each Senior chose a Freshman and told them how to dress for this special day. Most of the boys were dressed like girls with dresses worn inside out and backwards. The biggest share of the girls were dressed like boys with old overalls turned inside out and backwards and old work shirts turned inside out and backwards. Everytime a Freshman met a Senior they were supposed to bow. If they did not obey, the Seniors gave them a little encouragement with a paddle they made out of newspapers. The Seniors went to math class with the Freshmen to see how intelligent they were. Of course the Seniors tried to help the Freshmen as much as possible. At noon the Freshmen ate their dinner with the Seniors out on the lawn. After the Freshmen had finished their lunch they had to wash the Seniors' cars, then they had to wash some of the Juniors cars. When they got done with this chore it was 1 o’clock and time for the mock wedding. Norma Jean Toelle was the groom and Robert Schlickbernd was the bride. When going to classes the Freshmen had to go up and down the steps on their hands and knees. By 4 o'clock the Freshmen were tired and wanted to go home. So at 7 o’clock the Freshmen came for the night’s event. After the program the Freshmen and the Seniors paraded down town. W'hen they got back the Seniors served them a delicious lunch. After they finished eating the Freshmen were so kind as to stay and clean up after everyone had left.
