y SENIOR BAND 'fm Beekmantown's band may be small in size. but its members are loyal and hard working. The long hours of lessons and practice make band a demanding ac- tivity. But for those who participate, the rewards are many: learning a new language and a new skill that can be used for pleasure and perhaps profit, in many ways and places, for years to come. But while in school, Beekmantown's musicians provide many ser- vices to the other students and faculty. At football games, they are as important as cheerleaders in sparking school spirit in the crowds. At Christmas- time, their concerts of holiday music are enjoyed by students, teachers and parents alike. At graduation. their marches and songs add to the important mood of the ceremonies. It would be hard to imagine a high school without a band, and in 1977, Beekmantown is fortunate to have one as good as this.
