I-nik .V QQ TO THE CLASS OF '77 How realistic are we about what we want to become and about what it takes to reach our goal? The glamour of graduation with cap and gown, the congratulations of proud parents and friends, the pa- ties, and all that goes with completing school some- times blurs our vision of the road ahead. We some- times tend to think of the glory of being a college student and eventually a successful business execu- tive. Other times the vision is one of owning a new car and stylish clothes thanks to the great job we will secure. Hope and dreams are an essential part of life. Engage in them both-but mix them well with REALISM. To become a master plumer one first has to run many errands for the boss and do all kinds of unpleasant tasks. Long hours of study and work are required of successful business people, secretaries, nurses, and all responsible, well-paid workers. Those who are pre- pared to face the tasks ahead with realism, as well as with dreams, will reach the goal. You, the Class of 1977, have the world before you. Make your mark by hard work and determination and the idealistic picture in your mind will become actual. -Dr. Saunders

BOARD OF EDUCATIGN 'Ji- gba ' -'Mr. Ghenom 'L 2 Dr. Saunders and the board members faced another year of budget-trimming as Beekmantown progressed into it's fifth year of split session. This year the board had high hopes for a new school to be built with funds appropriated by the federal and state governments. Unfortunately, the residents of Beekmantown defeated the proposal in a December vote. The Board still pressed on in its attempt to provide the students with the best possible chance to reach their academic goals.
