As the yearbook went to press, the boys team was pushing for a second place Hnish and preparing for the sectionals. The girls team was sitting on top of the standings with only two matches left and stood an excellent chance of sweeping both league and section honors. With thirty underclassmen ID on the team, prospects for the future are very bright indeed. Junior va sity: The junior varsity started the season with seven freshmen and six sopho- mores. After the third game, the team lost one of its sophomores due to injury. Even with the loss of Mike Nelson and the inexperience of seven freshmen, the lV's finished with a very respectable 6-9 record. They played some very good games, in- cluding two overtime victories against Northeast Clinton and Peru. Outstand- ing players during the year were Mike Roberts, Ste ve Wood Steve Criss, and Eric Meigs. Mr. Williams is the IV coach.
