The subjects offered in Beekmantown are many and varied The grade twelve elective program includes courses in Canadian Studies, American Gov- ernment, Psychology, Anthropology, and Consumer Economics. In addition to the regular courses in Social Studies, other activities are also part of the program. Each year, Beekmantown students participate in the VFW Voice of Democracy program, and the three-day North Country Model United Nations. For the second year in a row, a group of juniors and seniors traveled to Washington D. C. to participate in a week-long Congressional Workshop.

Students are bet- ter able to understand the changing scenes around them. Last year in many science classes a self-teaching system was instituted. lt met with great success and is presently still in use. Students find it exciting and interesting to learn about the different physical components which make up today's world.
