Their fall actlvltles Included a trip to the Mlner Educational Days and partlclpatlon ln the magazlne drlve: they were responsible for fifty percent of the magazine salesl Conse- quently, lt was a slxth grade homeroom whlch earned a plzza party for havlng the most sales. One highllght of the year was the fleld trlp to Lake Placld In conjunctlon with the 1980 Winter Olympics. Chrlstmas time was eventful for the sixth graders. They had a party, a dress-up day, and a dance and dlsco contest.
