' v -eng X .bv 'pg A r ' i wild, wild, west A cold, rainy morning gave way to a sunny bright after- noon for Homecoming '79. The theme of this year's Homecoming was the Wild West. The week-end got start- ed with spirit week and culminated with a pep rally Friday afternoon. At the pep rally, the homecoming court was announced. Lisa Light had been voted queen and her court consisted of Sandy Clifford, Patty Lemieux, Con- nie Myers, and Sharyl Peryer. The school was decorated by the Student Council and was turned into Beekman- town's version of Dodge City. The main event was Saturday afternoon when the high flylng football team went against the aspiring Ausable alley Patriots. Wlth the strength and grace of an eagle, the team shut out the Pats In an awesome defensive and offensive display. At half-time the parade of Floats was led by the band and trailed by the Homecoming Court. The seniors swept the float, poster, and skit contests with their representation of the Eagle Branch Saloon. The day was topped off by a victory dance featuring the band Destiny , The entire school population agreed that Homecoming '79 was the best ever.
