-:gr ifflfl ... 1... ,... The Varsity Football team finished its season with a 3-5 re- cord. After three straight championships, the loss of several key players through graduation forced a major rebuilding effort. The Eagles were a young team, with many outstanding junior players. Sophomore Roger Desroches led the team in scoring with ten touchdowns. Brian Foster, Tim Rock and Mike Bar- ber also had outstanding seasons. Beekmantown had quarterback confusion this year. First, the leading candidate for first string, Jeff Snyder, transferred out of the area. Then, early in the season, Junior George Dye cracked his collar bone. Taking his place. Senior Mike Rab deau and Junior Jim Sears alternated in the QB spot. The loyal fans of Beekmantown may have been disappointe in the years outcome, but.are looking forward to next seasor Senior standouts Rick Foggy Foster, Rodney Gregoire Mike Rabideau, Albert LaVigne and Dave Debyah will b missed. The team may not be the '77 Champions, but th enthusiasm, leadership and perseverance of the players wi be remembered for a long time. l ..,.A ., ,-ff'l7 X . LITTLE EAGLES GAIN EXPERIENCE FOR THE BIG TIIVIE David Criss, David Trombley, Brian Duquette, Joe Burl, Jeff are comb, Jim Haggar, Mike Gregoire, Tom Botten, Scott Haskins, David Foley, Jeff Parker, Terry Brown, Larry Carter, Esten Racette. John Seabrohn, Ronny Burnell, Scott Rockwell, Ed Boslet, Ron Rock, Freddi Johnson, Mike Sears, Allen Garrant, Steve Miller, Jeff Landry, David Gatlin, Carey Case, Jeff Van Weort, James Carlin, Steve Myers, Randy Emery, Mark Aguglia, Mark Lepage, Steve Howell, David Rose, Ray Myers, Randy Favreau, Floyd Dominy. The Junior Varsity team had it's three year winning streak snapped this year. The boys lost key games to Plattsburgh and Saranac, but beat everyone else in the league giving them a 6-2 record for the season. Sophomore Tom Botten was the team's leading scor- er. Linebacker Mike Gregoire also did an outstanding job, and was promoted to the Varsity team during the season. Coach Mousseau felt that the team lost a top-notch player when John Seabron was injured ear- ly in the season. Though many of the players will be on the Varsity team next year, we should have a strong JV team once again. Then they can get started on their own win streak.
