Q all Qfgiaw S1 luncllss u unv As we entered h1gh school 1n 1948 we looked forward to graduat1on as someth1ng 1n the d1stant future Four years sounded very long But now they are f1n1shed and we look back upon our freshman year as though It were only yesterday F1rst of all we saw our class off1cers elected to gu1de us through the year They were pres1dent Pete Pr1nc1ng v1ce presx dent B11lDan1els secretary Pat McCon nell, treasurers Georgena Ba1ler and Ed Barnes, student counc1l Bob Hoyd1c and Ilene Bunt1ng class counc1l Buford Mundale and Sh1rley Fletcher reporter, Ruth Roof, po1nt secretary Bob F1anag1n Next w became freshmen off1c1ally at the Freshman Sophomore In1t1at1on As was expected the sophomores defeated us then we came to Wh1Ch was our f1rst real project and success Gur sophomore off1cers were pres1dent, Loren Prmcmg v1ce pres1dent B111 Dan 1e1s secretary Dor1s La1dler,treasurers Georgena Ba11er and Ed Barnes student counc1l Gaxl Bell and Bob HOyd1C, class counc1l Norma LEWIS and Buford Mundale, reporter Glenda Clary po1nt secretary Bob F1anag1n Our play for the year was The Mummy and the Mumps The Freshman Sophomore In1t1at1on went backwards for the freshmen won What a d1sgrace Next we rev1ew our Jun1or year Our play was One Mad N1ght wh1ch turned out to be a huge success Our leaders for the year were pres1dent Loren Pr1nc1ng v1ce pres1dent B111 Dan1e1s, secretary Dor1s La1dler whose pos1t1on was later f1lled by Amel1a Janos when Dor1s left us, treasur ers Georgena Ba1ler and Ed Barnes, student counc1l DorothySuchyandChester Hopkxns, class counc1l Norma LEWIS and Buford Mundale, reporter, Glenda Clary po1nt secretary, Bob F1anag1n The b1ggest progectfor the year was the g1v1ng of the Junxor Sen1or Prom The gym was ga1ly decorated as a flower garden Wlth a b1rd bath and blue b1rds 1n the center of the floor To make lt even more real1st1c as you entered the gym you had to cross an old rust1c br1dge At last we came to our sen1or year We look back upon our play Someth1ng Old Someth1ng New wh1ch broke several f Beecher's records by hav1ng the largest adm1ss1on at the door We then began work on the annual Wl11Cl'1W8 enjoyedmakmg to the vary last page Our p1ctures were taken by Cra1ne s and they arr1ved1n late November Our off1cers were pres1dent Loren secretary Amel1a Janos t r e a s u r e r s Georgena Ba11er and Ed Barnes, class counc1l, Glenda Clary and Buford Mundale, student counc1l Dale Bozung and Dorothy Suchy, reporter Norma LCW1S,pO1nt secre tary Bob F1anag1n It was the Junlors turn to g1VE us a prom and they d1d a wonderful Job of selectxng a good orchestra and deco ratmg the gyrn We enjoyed lt very much For our Sen1or tr1p we went on a boat tr1p to Mack1naw Island and the Soo For our class motto we chose The past 15 gone, the future open ' Our flower was the Amer1can beauty rose and our colors were blue and s1lver And last but not least were our sponsors Mrs Frye and Mr T1sda1e, who gu1ded us through our four h1gh school years Our deepest grat1tude and s1ncere w1shes for the future go to them for the many thmgs they d1d for us Z2 '71 x off X 1 3 'ii i -I -: X5 Q fb' 2 9 6 rl' 1 i I 1 I ' - ' 1 I ' n . . , . . .
