Slllllllt IILHSS HISTUHU On September 5 l946 we freshmen began our nrst year of hugh school with many mtsglvlngs We were sure the four years would go very slowly but now that we fund ourselves senlors, we realize how qulclcly the tame has passed Durtng our freshman year, we chose the followlng as our officers presldent, Gerald Davidson, secretar Marllyn Hamrlton treasurers, Barbara Salgat and Bob Towns, reporters, Joy Newberry and Bull Barnum, student councul Valerne Vlclm and Tom Spence, class councll, Bonnae Flsher and .lack Clary We had our freshman lnlttatson In October and after that, we were very eager to become sophomores so w could have the pleasure of lnltlatung the next year s freshmen Cur class play that year was, A Date With Judy and Mrs Darly and Mr Cllfford were our sponsors our class offlcers president, Jaclc Clary vtce presrdent Gerald Davidson, secretary Marilyn l-lamrlton, treasurers Barbara Salgat and Bob Towns, student council Dorxs Sauber and Torn Spence, reporter, MGYIOVIE Keith point secretary, Mary Beaver Under the dlrectlon and guldance of our same spon sors, we presented the play Fathers Favorrte Family written by our prlncupal Mr Vrncent Darley As luntors we chose the followrng offtcers pres: dent, Gene Goode vcce presrdent, Shlrrel Schaefer secretary Barbara Moore treasurers Jeanette pray and Bob Towns, ponnt secretary, Mary Beaver Cur play We Shoolc The Family Tree, was very successful Nrs Dalley was unable to continue as one of our sponsors, so Mrs Declcer very ably toolc over, wlth Mr Clifford again asslstung That year, we received our class rings and plns shortly after Christmas The social events we remember best were the Junlor Senior Prom and the Banquet We were well repaad for our hard worlc by the admurlng enthusiasm of all our guests Now, at last, the long anticipated year of our llfe has come' We are Seniors' We selected for thus, our last year, the followrng officers presldent, Bryan March, vlce presrdent, Bob Towns, secretary MGTIOFIC Kelth reporter, Jeanette Pray point secretary, Mary Beaver, treasurers Marllyn Anderson and Joe Hooper, student councnl, Duane Brown Bob Bennett We have added to our bank account for our sensor boat trlp to Niagara Falls by selling Christmas cards magazlnes, stationery and by presentung our pay whrch thas year was The Hugh School Mystery, an G great success Our class colors are gray and maroon our motto, Today we follow tomorrow we lead, and our flower rs the darlc red Carnation We leave Beecher where we have learned to fallow drrecttons and advrce bow we feet ready to assume on! share of leadership r' today s world , , f' . 1 ' - I : V A I yi l I ' Z .
