UW WW E IIUIEUSJ EIVIJLVLVIELUE The members of Beechcroft's Marching band thrive on practice, diligence, camaraderie, ac- complishment, and performance. The marching band and majorettes provided half-time spec- taculars throughout the 1981-82 season. Band members and spectators grew to love their rendi- tions of such musical favorites as lt's Still Rock and Roll to me , Armed Forces Salute , Hello Dolly , and Hit Me With Your Best Shot. These spirited Cougars loved to plan half-time surprises. During the homecoming half-time show they formed the famous Script Cougars. The night of the great Northland game brought even greater thrills. A rented plane circled the Northland High School football stadium bearing the decree Go Cougars . . . Maul Vikings. The excitement of this event was only surpassed by the events of the following weekend when these talented Cougars marched across the astroturf of Franklin County Stadium and helped to declare Beechcroft High School Co-City League Champions. The fame of these Cougar entertainers has brought them many opportunities to perform. This past year they participated in the Fourth of July, Columbus Day, Halloween and Cedar Point parades, the Pumpkin Festival, and Otterbein Band Day. Con- tests and competitions are also part of band life. ln 1981-82 the majorettes earned fifth place in the Ohio State Fair contest, and received first place in camp competition! ll W 4 I mf., F
