Their win- ning score was 22-12. The East game was more of a fumble bowl, but again the Cougars were victorious. The Cougars went on to defeat Centennial C38-65 and their Northland rival Q19-145, giving Beechcroft their first undisputed championship and capping their season with an 8-2, 7-O record. The Reserve Football team also played superbly and won the city league division championship. The Cougars had now won their right to play at Franklin County Stadium on the funny grass, as Mr. Powell called it. The Cougars had expected to play Eastmoor but Eastmoor qualified for the State Playoffs. As a result, the Cougars played the Walnut Ridge Scots.
