The yearbook staff worked all year to make this yearbook a success. Shown in their work- shop are: Mike Williams, Jim Johnson, Bill Schoenbachler, Ron Tinley, Richard Meier, Mrs. Rugenstein, sponsor. Bob Mes- ser, and John Schaffer. Invaluable assistants on the staff were the typists. They were: Shirley Turner, Mary Kay Galloway, and Jan Willenberg. Also assisting were Donna Patrick, Nancy Clark, Nancy Toney, Sue Ridlen, Sue Allbright, and Teresa Walker. An important part of the success of a yearbook is based on the salesmen. John Schaffer was chief salesman this year. He is shown demonstrating high- pressuring methods to Peggy Zavodny and Rusty Mitchell of his sales staff. Other members of his staff were Lin- da Jetmore, Jim Smith, and Mel Marie Haboush.

Yearbook Staff The industrious yearbook staff consisted of all seniors who were chosen at the beginning of the year. Members were, first row; Linda Pflonzer, opening division editor; Bob Messer, sports division editor; Karen Dai ley, editor; Ron Tin ley, assistant editor; Richard Meier, individuals division editor; and Jim Johnson, activities division editor. Second Row: Mrs. Ru gen stein, sponsor; Mary Kay Galloway, Kathy Foley, Rusty Mitchell, Linda Moore, Mr. Fairchild, sponsor. Third Row: Jan Willen- berg, John Schaffer, Jim Smith, Bill Schoenbachler, Paul Haulter, Sue Allbright. Members who also ably assisted but were not available for this picture were: Peggy Zavodny, Mel Marie Haboush, Nancy Clark, Shirley Turner, Nancy Toney, Teresa Walker and Marvin Jones. Student Council The Student Council was first organized in 1947. Its goal is to create and maintain school spirit, and to strengthen the good relationship between faculty and students. Besides the numerous pep sessions each year, the council an- nually sponsors the Homecoming parade and dance, the Christmas painting con- tests and the cheerleader elections. This year ' s council succeeded in creating and stimulating a tremendous amount of school spirit within the student body. Officers were: President, Steve Agal; Vice President, Karia Faulconer; Secre- tary, Connie Mitchell; and Treasurer, Janet Stutler. Pictured are Miss Mann, Mary Wilder, Kay Hunt, KarIa Fauiconer, Mr, Cunningham, Linda Bates, Connie Mitchell, Sue Hunt, Janet Stutler, Terry Agal, Jim Hensley, Gordon Fields, Tony Burton, Steve Agal. Mr. Cunningham and several members of the Student Council are shown designing the casket in which they buried the Wood- chucks at one of the pep sessions. Rusty Mitchell, Janet Stutler and Connie Mitchell view the finished product. Many felt that the spirit generated at the pep ses- sion before the Wood game helped a great deal in the upset pulled by the Hornets over the Woodchucks.
