THESE ADMINISTRATORS AND ASSISTANTS DETERMINE AND Mr. Kinsey 'These men, under the capable guidance of Mr. C. V. Kinsey, determine the policy of the Beech Grove Schools. Membership on a school board is a community service of the highest type, practically without compensa- tion, and a task involving much work and little glory. Ordinarily, one school board member is appointed by the mayor and the city council each year, thereby keeping two experienced members in service ot all times. Members alternate among the various offices, serving one year in each capacity during their term. Mr. E. Lee Mendenhall, president of the school board, has served since l953. He is employed by the New York Central Railroad. Mr. Louis A. Lukenbill, the secretory, also was appointed in l953. He is the pub- Iisher of TH'E PERRY TOWNSHIP WEEKLY. Newest member of the board is Mr. John F. Johnson, the treasurer, who was appointed in 1955. Mr. Johnson is a civil service em- ployee with the Post Office Department. He served previously during the years l95l-53. MF Melldellllill Mr. Lukenbill Mr. Johnson
