As the years passed by we have all anx- iously waited for this coming event. It has been impossible for us to keep track of each other through the years. Therefore, tonight as we gather here at the former FRED'S - DRIVE - INN, which is now owned by JERRY MA NION, we are enjoying the fellowship and discussion of old times with each other. Since I, JIMMY CAMPBELL, am employed here by Mr. Manlon as bouncer, it is convenient for me to give you a few of the facts about my former classmates. Early in the evening there was much excitement as SHERRILL ROUSH came in with his SPACE CREW. His Chief Photographer. SAMMY STANLEY, plans to show some of the interesting pictures taken while on their last trip to the Moon. Sherrill brought his No. 1 Scientist. DAVID CARDIN, back for the Reunion also. About the time the excitement was waning, who should drive up in one of the longest and finest Cadillac’s we have ever seen? Immediately we recognized the big executive from Wall Street. COTTON PRICE, with his Chauffeur, DAVID GARLAND. We all recall, of course, that David had always said in school that some day he would be driving a Cadillac, but little did we know that he meant for some one else. The Bookkeeping teacher of BEEBE HIGH SCHOOL. SONNY NOBLE, accompanied by his wife. JOYCE HARDIN, came by private plane piloted by LARRY JENKINS. They are now over at the table with the other B. H. S. teachers discussing their problem children. We have from our Alma Mater. Superintendent ROY DALE BRECKENRIDGE. Principal HENRY HUTCHINS. Beauty Instructor BARBARA BASS. HomemakingMODEAN TAYLOR. History Professor BEVERLY GOWAN. Agriculture Teacher JIMMY BASS. Head Football Coach BUDDY STRAYHORN. English Pro- fessor BOBBY AKIN, and Psychiatrist WILBUR STROUD. SAMMY PATE, who now operates a nation wide School of Dance, is entertaining with a delightful number using six of his greatest teachers. LARRY PRUITT. JIMMY EDWARDS. KENNETH BRIDGES, ETTIE NELSON, LILLIE SLOAN, and LUCILLE PARKER. Sammy's wife. LINDA JO WISDOM, and her dish-washer. YVONNE HARRELL, came in Jo's private car. Mr. 4 Mn. W.H. Poindexter came in very quietly with two of their six children. Mrs. Poindexter will be remembered as the former ERMA LEE McKINNEY. The Oil Tycoons of our class. KENNETH BAXTER and RUSSELL LENDERMON. are quibbling with T.V. Me. BUDDY FAITH, about one minute of their advertising he left out on his last show. As usual. DON SMITH has just come in surrounded by pretty girls. Even though he is now Heavy Weight Wrestling Champion, he still insists that three models. PAT BAILEY, MARY EMERSON, and ANN NELSON, ac- company him for publicity. He is making straight for the table where the Women's Wrestling Champion. NAOMI PRICE, is relating tne story of how after five long and hard years of trying, she defeated her No. I opponent. SYDNEY ANN GUYOT, Sitting at the uble with Naomi and listening very attentively are the noted English Channel Swimmers. ELIZABETH SHEPPARD and NANCY SHELTON. Chief Soda Jerk. BECKY SPRINGER, has just left the building, crying. Mr. Manion fired her because she re- fused to serve two bums who were seated at the rear uble. She failed to recognize them as DOC ABINGTON and JIMMY SPURLOCK. There seems to be quite a commotion outside the door here. Oh. it's nothing to be alarmed about. Here is the Ma and Pa Kittle of the 1973 s. ELEANOR KINLEY and WYATT WASHBURN. Theyonly brought part of their ten little dears with them, the others are coming later with neighbors. Mr. Mrs. DEWEY PRUITT. Mrs. Pruitt is the former TEETER STANLEY. ARDELIA DODSON has just completed a trip around the world seeking members for her LONELY HEARTS CLUB or referred to often as THE OLD MAID’S CLUB . While here tonight she has secured such members as PEGGY McQUEEN. MARY NELL BROWN. SHELBY PRUITT, and BRENDA LILES. Everyone is enjoying the floor-show now in progress, it is furnished tonight by the man who took over Arthur Murray's work. DELFORD BENTON, and his lovely dancing partner. MARGARET BELEW. I see LUCILLE WOOLRIDGE and OWEN OLMSTEAD coming through the back door with guns already drawn. This is force of habit, since they are now ranchers in Texas. They are accompanied by their top cow hand, JUNIOR MOORE. I have just been handed a telegram from BILLY McMILLIN AND EMMA JANE HUFF, who operate a reducing salon in Skunk Hollow. They are unable to attend tonight because of rushing business, but have sent one of their happiest customers. BARBARA FAIRFIELD. She has. under the consunt direction of REVA LANGSTON, their only employee, successfully lost 3 1 2 pounds in 2 months. JOHN B. FISHER is just now arriving. He was detained by his work, (picking pockets at thebusdepot). He is the only educated, well-dressed bum of our 1958 class. PATSY FISHER is driving up to the door. She now runs a Taxi Service, due to her vast experience in driving Benny's car in high school. Her passengers are BARBARA WHITE and BETTY HENDERSON. They tell me that they ran out of gas and JAMES SEATS, operator of the local service station, is here for the Reunion, along with his Chief Car-washer. CHARLES HOOPER. CAROLYN WALTERS and RUBY DENNIS were unable to attend our get-to-gether tonight because their latest play. The Mystery Woman , is opening on Broadway. Carolyn prepares stage scenes and Ruby works the sound effects. The last to arrive is a fellow that is all out of breath. Yes. it's BILLY WALTERS still trying to prove that he is going places. He did go places tonight, but he had to hitch-hike.
