T. D. D. H. D. H. B. P. J. S. Glc U P n filtecif, While we were working in the Biology laboratory one day not too many month ago. we were experimenting with Atomic energy. Of course, like youth of today, we decided to manufacture an atomic bomb at our table. ThU bomb, however, was small but powerful. The next day we slipped out on the football field to set off our bomb. The test was successful, but I was injured from the explosion, i received a radiation bum which required an operation, of the left eye. When the bandage were removed a very surprUlng discovery was made. Byclosingmy right eye and looking only through the left one. I have the power to see into the future. I have consented to take just a short time here and tell the things I see my classmates doing. I can see that 10 years from now—1966 to be exact--many changes have taken place. Our sponsors. Mrs. Tomlinson and Mr. Cardin have changed very little. They are both still in B.H.S.. only slightly older. Their hair U rapidly graying because of worry—Mr. Cardin worries because both of hU boys are married and he has full responsibility of the dairy. Mr . Tomlinson worries over her son who has just entered first grade in Beebe Grammar School. She fears the teacher. NORMA BRECKEN'RIDGE, may mUtreat him as re- venge for her former school day here with Mrs. Tomlinson. ALICE and BOB’S is the favorite hang out for the high school kids. They have a Drive Inn near the school and are in competition with TOMMY'S place, originally known as Sim's Drive Inn. Of course, thu U friendly competition since both couples arc graduates of the ’56 senior class. However, lawyers BEVERLY K1MBRELL, re - presenting ALICE and BOB. and BOBBY BELL, representing BARBARA and TOMMY, have just settled the trouble, between the car hops at these places. The judge in the trial was L. P. GUNTER. We are not too surprised at thu trouble between the car hops, since JOYCE BRADBERRY and JANE SLOAN were envious of each other while in school. PATSY STEGALL has organized a professional basketball team. They arc LIZ WALTERS. PATSY SWINDLE, BETTY BRYLES, ANN MORTON, AND PATSY SORY. This group has moved Into the place fotmerly held by Hazel Walker’s group. They have Just returned from a world tour and their manager. DON HENRY, reports that •hey were very successful--all wins and not a single loss. PEGGIE VINES and BETTY PATROM have just opened a new business in McRae. Their business is helping the 'Love Lorn . They arc fully capable of giving this advice because of their vast experience. It seems bad for their business, however, that neither is married. Mrs. Gary Jones, better known as JOAN PENROD, is settled in the Public Library here in town. She does this in order to care for her small daughter and also to keep an eye on her water commissioner husband. JOE T. BELEW is now owner and operator of a Urge farm and the local auction sale bam. BILLY STEGALL and his wife, LUCRETIA DIXON, are in charge of the farm and dairy. DOUGLAS RILEY. n auctioneer, and JUDSON BOA ROMAN, a truck driver, help Joe in the auction bam. JERRY FITCH and BOYD THORNTON arc now in Detroit trying to talk themselves into something—and sure enough they did—the city jail. DOUGLAS BRUTON has just given his manager. JIMMY HILL, permission to sign a contract for him to pUy baseball with the CleveUnd Indians. You know how particuUr JIM and LELAND DAVIS have always been about their name. Well, now they have a used car business and only use people with the last names of Davis as salesmen. Lucky for DEWAYNE and GER- ALD dsat they are Davises too. PATSY EDWARDS is now employed at the Arkansas Gazette, using the experience she gained in the Beebe News office. This is a great lift to Caro 11 in helping to save money for the education of their four daughters. WILLIE JEAN ATKINSON is now high school librarian. Now she can talk over the desk to boys just as much at the likes. Mrs. Wiles isn’t there to object, since her retirement. MARTHA JANE HILL is now working for JAMES SWINDLE, owner of the Urgest Udies ready-to-wear shoppes in New York City. She is modeling the latest fashions in bathing suits for his New York customers. KATHERYN BLOUNT and DON CARPENTER have just divorced their first husband and wife and are eloping together to Mexico to start life anew. BOBBY CUMMINGS and LARRY COLE arc still in B. H. S. caring for the 7th and 8th grade girls. LARRY DAVID has been promoted to operator of the Radio Theater to help support ANN BAILEY, his wife, who U still working on a career as a singer for GLENN DODD’S weekly televaion show. The saying of -following in Father’s Footsteps’ has certainly come true for SAMMY FOWLER. He a now buz- zing around in ha jeep drumming up television repair business. BENNY HEFNER, still true to ha custom, a eating vitamins by the bottle trying to get Urge enough for pro- fessional football. RAYMON HILL and CLEVELAND HUTCHINS, still inseparable, arc now in Hollywood trying to get a leading part in pictures. JUANITA HERROD, a famous actress, a using her influence for them on her producer husband BILLY RYE. MARY SUE BENTON and SCOTTY JOHNSON are married and living a quiet peaceful life on their pig and chicken farm out near Floyd. Because of the similarity of their names. Gene Autrey has left ha ranch and estate out West to GENE BREWER. He has employed VENUS SMITH as top ranch hand because oi her vast experience with hones. CAROLYN FAYE OAKLEY a happily employed as telephone operator in New York City. Now she can keep up with all the gossip among the socUl elite. JUNE FULLER now employed by the, ’Eat ’em And Grow vitamin company of N. Y. She traveU as an example of how all these wonderful vitamins make people grow. At least the coaches in B. H. S. can keep all theli troubles in the family since hushand and wife, HORACE MANASCO and GAYLE MEREDITH, arc coaching both boys and girls teams respectively. SONNY HUFF,.after serving these ten years in the National Guard, has Anally gained those eleven pounds making him qualify for the army. He plans to make a career of the Service, since his third wife has deserted him. It looks at if BOBBY WALTERS may be forced to sell the Beebe Drug and go into some other business. His wife is jealous of the founuln girl . BARBARA COLE and MARY ANN MULLENS. SONNY PARISH has made good. He is now operator of the service station where he’s worked so long. MINNIE LEE FREE is one of the top singers at the Kce-Dipsy-Kce Doodle night club in VilonU. CHARLES SHAFFNER. Editor of the local paper, has just announced a new member tohlssuff. LORENE BURNS U coming to the tuff from London. England, where she has been the foreign correspondent for the New York Times. Both Charles and Lorcne received their journalistic training in B. H.S.
