Issues of Smoke Signals were published every three weeks, containing holiday contests, cartoons, sports, and every kind of school news you could think of fand a few you didn'tJ. This was all done in spite of things like the press breaking down, losing articles, finding out that there was one whole page to complete with only 30 minutes to do it in, frantic trips to McDonald's for lunch, and fending off attacks by the librarian who kept vociferating that the library was not the City Desk! The student body was welcome to contribute anything of interest and the staff gratefully accepted ideas for improvement. The newspaper staff would like to thank the Student Council for donating an electric typewriter with different styles of type and ev- eryone who helped make it possible for this year's paper to be a success.
