It refers to elements of education that are both different from and in addition to the standard offerings. Its integration into regular classes or curricular offerings should be encouraged when appropriate. All programs should be sequential and continuous. Work study should be part of, rather than apart from, the total school program. .3 i 1 Q ,it 5 M -, -.Q s. s Q ig 1 WY '1 19? 3 5, as 4 . ,. . .. sg s Q43 3 I Q: ' K ' rffmp , I lilly, ef . ey, U 1 'Mi' .MH -r ' if-H15-ETSI' if Q ' i xv +-. is Xu 5 av 'on Y Q ws.. After these hours, the biggest per- cent ofthe students like to sit in the commons and have a coke with a friend. Even though the rules are rougher than last year, the students still seem to have a good time and enjoy the new facilities. wg as,-wx I. go gi i It -s K Said A file-iv 'Nr gil 201 to Lee Ann Splres Barbara Standish Karen Stevens Brad Stewart Llsa Stigall Patty Stlles Georganna Sherry Stout John Strange Sherry Stroud Stotts John Sullivan Jeft Swango Carolyn Taggart Dean Strunk Llnda Taylor BNL'S FIRST PROM Many students awaited the big night of B.N.L.'s first prom. Thls year things are running much more smoothly in the l.M.C., at least the librarians and teachers think so. Even though the l.M.C. is supposedly the academic sec- tion of school, we all have our good times like having the table mysteriously eating books or studying so hard that the carrel collapses under all that weight from a brilliant brain. Most people do use their free time responsibly though, by studying, using available research materials, making up work, or asking teachers for help. -if 1. 5? 3, Qf 5 km... g 9 'E 49 fr . Tears of happiness and sadness fell from many eyes, knowing that we would not be seeing most of our classmates after this special day. We were also very proud of the achievement we had accomplished. Now we felt that we were ready to travel our own road with the lessons we had learned. Now it was our task to make decisions proving that we had become adult lndivlduals. Sf PICTURES Students are anxious to receive their individual class pic- tures. They await their time in line for the photographer to take their picture-brushing or combing their hair, looking in mirrors to touch-up the face, and practicing smiles. Everyone wants to look good so the picture can be gladly given to friends and that special boyfriend or girlfriend. After the yearbook is received, the com- mon complaint is that there are not enough pictures in the book.
