Quiet, sincere, talented, and dependable are only a few of the adjectives which describe him best. Serving B.H.S. for the past eleven years as principal, he has contributed much to the lives of the students, to the inspiration of his colleagues, and to the advancement of his profession. His varied skills include giving speeches, playing golf and fishing. It has been said that success is discovering your best talents, skills, and abilities and applying them where they will make the most effective contribu- tion to mankind. Juniors have the great task of producing the prom. This includes raising funds, booking a band, de- corating, and deciding when and where to have the prom. As juniors near the end of high school. the thoughts turn to choosing a itlture vocation. During the junior year, childhood dreams become reality. Class rings arrive early in the year and each ju- nior proudly wears the symbol of his class. juniors at- tend the prom for their first time and dates for this mem- orable occasion are made well in advance. As the junior year draws to a close, each member ol the class begins to realize his role as a leader of Bedford High School. Soph- omores build friendships and confidence. Sophomores, anxious to be in the main stream of high school life, join many school sponsored organiza- tions. Friendships ibrmed in these activities last through life. By the end ol' the school year, Sophomores have amassed much confidence in themselves. This self assur- edness stems both from academic achievement and club activities. He anticipates be- eoming a full-iledgecl member of Bedford's student body and eagerly joins in the activities. The lirsl year is tilted with challenging, sometimes humorous, and always new situations. lt 'is a time of learning and maturing. The Freshman learns to cope with frustrating mistakes and slowly becomes sure of himself. New experiences are awaiting him everyday and many responsibilities are gained. Few Freshmen realize the importance of their first-year experiences. For the senior looking back on his lirst year, it may seem to have been a dull experience but to the Freshman nothing seems more glorious.
