SUPHUWURE MHSS WEWUWS The Class of 1956 elected as its freshman corps - of officers Marvin Sleep, president, Pat Perkins, vice . presidentg Sandra Busby, secretary-treasurer. It was 5 during this class's freshman year that Eisenhower was I elected President of the United States, England was planning the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth, and the Korean Truce was discussed. The Class of 1956, as sophomores, elected Bob Sawyer, presidentg Lavonne Spry, vice-president, Pat Perkins, treasurer, Kay Wintermute, secretary. During the first semester, with the purpose of having a little fun, they held a dance in the high school gymnasium. With the same purpose in mind another party was held during the second semester. 28
