LGS BOYS' BASKET-BALL li E B The Boys' Basket Ball team had a great deal of hard luck in the season of '27 and '28. Most of the material was new and undeveloped. The squad was hampered also by the loss of players, after the season had started, an-d by the change of coa-ches. Mr. Hulbert Moeller succeeded Co-auch Henry after his resignation in the early part of the second semester, Many of the games were lost by -close scores and then too, some of the games were closer than the score would inrdicate. In the Taylor County Tournament, however, the boys gave the basket ball fans a real surprise, They drew Conway in the first round. When the final whistle blew the score was tied. When the first ov-ertime whistle blew ilihe score was still tired but in hh second overtime p-erfio-d -Conway managed to register 6 points. The Consolation game was equally as close, with Clearfield, the boys being defeated by just one point. Only three of the enriire squad will graduate, John M-eikle, Charles Green- lee and Captain Merrill Geagley. Prospects for the next year's team are very promising. l
