Ayr game. He shows promise of becoming a really great lineman next year. MERRILL GEAGLEY-Senior CHalf-backl Giggs possesses the ability to throw a forward pass With almost bullet-like accuracy and speed, ALVA WYCOFF-Sophomore CFul1-backb Although very light for a full-back Shorty stepped into that position after Huff was shifted on to the line and played the position like a veteran. n'n'u'n'n u'n'- n'-'n

A brief account of the BEDFORD BULLDOGS : SEPTEMBER 23-Bedford won their first scheduled ,game of th-e season by d-efeating Blanchard 12-0. Little scored both touwchdownsl, one on an eighty yard return of a punt and the other on line plunging. SEPTEMBER 30-The ZBAULLD-OCS lost a hard fought game to Villisea 13-6. Rains starred for Villisca making both touchdowns while Little made Beidfor-d'.s lone talley on a seventy yard run through a lbrokvzrn field. Poor gener- alship cost Bedford this game. OOTOIBER 7--Lamoni won a one-sided lcontest from Bedlfiord, def-e-ating them 24-0. Little, Gilchrist and Taylor were injured during the fray, Henry's team was both outweighed and' loutplayed. OCTOBER 14-The BUI.lLDOGS journeyed to Des Moines and were de- feat-ed fby the DMCA 26-7. Bedford was outplaye-d in all stages of the game until the final period. Little made Bedfordl's touchdown on straight football. OCTOIBER 28-Bedford's sceond victory of the season was won at the ex- pense of the New Market Miners. The BULlLDfOGS defeated them 37-0, Little and Talkington made SlO'm6 very nice gains and the whole line played a very creditable game, especially Greenlee. NOVEMBER 11-Cornin'g's well balanlced team proved themselves too strong for the Be-dford gridders and won the Armistice Day game in easy fash- ion, trouncing the UBULLDOGSU 27-0. Wyicoff distinguished himself in this game by his great defensive work. NOVEMBER 2--Failing to get the breaks :of the game cost the Bedford 13-6 defeat at the hands of Clarinda in a slowly played -game. The local team outplayed their oppon-ents .tlhroughlout most of the game. OCTOBER 21--Sh-enandoah's S. W. Iowa championship t-eam maintained their winning streak by totally loverpoweriintg the BULLDOGS and winning by a score of 46-0. The Page County team played smart football and were superior in all stages of the game. NOVEMBER 18-Bedfo-rd's third victory of the yeay was annexed by de- feating the Mt. Ayr Gridsters 12-6. The Ringgold County team was first to sc-ore but with the enltranfce of Little into tlhe game the tide turned from de- feat to Victlory. Little, .Mohler and Wycoff lookevdlbest in the backqfield with all the linemen displaying a high calibre of football. NOVEIMBER 25-+Lenox won the Turkey Day game which was played on the-ir home field. The Lenrox team was much faster and showed mulch more pep which helped contribute to their 13-0 victory. This game closed the high school football careers of Tfalkilngton, Culbertson, Huff, Geagley, and Greenlee.
