In its first year of existence it has been used very extensively. Several declam- zatory and puwblic speaking contests have been held here, as well as musical cvcnts of all kinds. The Municipal iband' treated the icomimfun-ity to a fine Sun- day afternoon conceit. The District Music Contest in which Bedford was so successful would have been impossible without this auditorium. Plays and Opercttas me a pleasure, during 'practice ho-urs as Well as during the produc- tion.
