Parents Faculty Classmates and Fruends Tonught as our hugh school fades unto the background the days months and years become only a memory just a pleasant thought of the tume that we the graduates of l953 have spent to gether As they passed the turne went by seemungly purposeless Now as we look back ut has been but a fleetung moment over flowung wuth uoys and experuences that has guven us a well rounded educatuon Throughout our schoolung we have been taught to use our tume to the best possuble advantage Now as we leave our sheltered hugh school days we realuze more fully the meanung of tume Today may be the opportunuty and occasuon of our luves The success and completeness of our enture lufe may depend upon what we do or say today lt us for us therefore to use every moment of today as uf our very exustence were dependent on uts works and deeds Few of us realuze that thunkung and plannung systematucally are the greatest tume savung devuces known to man Many of us put off untul tomorrow what should be done today causung much useless squanderung of thus pruceless element ln a world fulled wuth chaos ut us necessary for one to be an untellugent uudge of the worthwhule thungs to whuch he devotes hus abulutues and talents Each one of us may not have the same vuews as to what these worthwhule thungs are as each person s preference us hus pruvulege ln every fueld or occupatuon the need for savung tume stull faces everyone We may not consuder tume to 'be such an umportant element but what can restore the moment that has passed the day whose sun has set or the year that has been num bered wuth the ages gone? Tume can never be reclaumed As has so ably been saud before Tume and tude waut for no man lt us therefore my earnest and contunual prayer that we may always remember these profound truths and so choose wusely and well the work and the play that wull best serve our needs May we always and ever use our tume both un the present and un the future un the very best way possuble for us as unduvuduals rememberung always and I quote Thus above all to thune own self be true and ut must follow as the nught the day Thou canst not then be false to any man Thank you Joanne VanKurk Valeductoruan I I' 1 1 1 1 1 1 I 1 1 - ' 1 1 ' 1 1 - 1 ' 1 , .
