Basketball . . . A Large part of the hfe of B.HS The Block B, symbol of Bedford Highls rising school spirit, was started at the first of the basketball season this year. Thanks go to the Student Council-to Paula Thomas, who played a major part in organizing the Block B, and to Mr. Coombs, the sponsor, for its big success. The gym holds dear memories of bitter defeats and striking victories between long-time rivals. 1 The big moment has arrived and the team goes into the huddle for last minute instructions and reassurance of winning an important game. And all through the town- Maryann MePike and Paula Thomas look very encr- getic as they start out to sell their allotted traditional Christmas holly. The selling of holly wreaths and pine doorknockers every Christmas is the major money raising project of the senior class. The gifts for the school and faculty, and the expenses of senior week take care of all the money made from the project. XY'e are happy to report that this year, as last year, every holly wreath and doorknocker, 800 items in all, was sold by our hardworking senior class. l This page is sponsored by CITIZENS NATIONAL BANK
