'Geo' 2' 9 S 19 h U in Q ,prog , C or it C ,ft tg' I wg o f A .OJ I CLASS HISTORY Eyl Wlien we look hack down the long lane of time to a period, just four short years ago, when 9 1 we, as freshmen, furtively darkened the portals of Bedford High School, the years fade away as a T mist. Once again we see ourselves, timid and lonely, entering the labyrinth of the Minotaur, engulfed in its maze and with no silken thread to guide us to the rooms for which we Sought. To the accumulated widsom of the upper-classmen we listened breathlessly. But we emerged from the fire courageous and with many honors. The Class spirit, the scholastic records, the athletes, students of oratorical and reading ability, the oflce-holders, the journalistic students-all helped to make the Class of ,33 a pre-eminent success. Many have been the honors which the members of the Class of '33 have brought the school. Daniel Sherwood, Henrietta Hutton,iMaZrgaret Powers, and Marguerite Jones have won honors in the Latin Contests. J. W. Shaver, Robert Plummer, Harold Bennett, Betty Rainbolt received recognition in South Central Orotorical Contest, Reading Contest and Public Discussion. Robert Plummer and Harold Bennett were for four years members of the Boy's Varsity Team. Josephine Mosier, Marian Mitchell, Icel Jackman, Frances Edmands, Lora June Owens, and Betty Rainbolt held positions on the Girlis Varsity Debate Team. Bernard Parham, Horace Richardson, and Dwight Perkins were familar figures on the Basketball floor. Loren Oliver, Frank Duncan, Norwood Ross, Dexter Calvin, and Harold Wykoff were Heldmen. Frank May, Mary Carter, Angela Scherschel, Ruth Younger, Catherine Roberts, and Mildred Maick were faithful members of the Student Staff. Mary Pence, Robert Baker, Josephine Mosier, Everett Taylor, lcel Jackman, Marian Mitchell, Ella E. Clark, and several other seniors held positions on the Pioneer Staff. The band was served faithfully by Doris Carter, Warren Clover, Frances Lee. And now we come to the officers of the Senior Class, Robert Plummer, President, Moneta Davis, Vice-President, Lora June Owens, Treasurerg and Harold Wykoif, Secretaryg and foremost in the minds of all, our sponsor, Miss Mitchusson. Not alone in activities have we excelled. Though we constitute but one-sixth of the total enrollment, we have consistently furnished over one-fourth of the Honor Roll. We feel that i11 our class the school has lost Some genuine students, eil?-9 SENHHIPROPHECY Bedford, Indiana, June 31, 1943. Miss Janet Standish Capitol Building, Indianapolis, Indiana. Dear Janet: Your idea of having a 1933 class reunion is splendid. After ten years of separation, it will be a happy occasion for the class to meet once more at Bedford for a week-end. I am sending you a clue as to the whereabouts of some of our classmates, so that you may notify them of the event and can make further plans for the program. M CVQ Cl Hfft gafk J' 9 ,411 A I22l
