Leanne Parsons and her date share an inti- mate moment away from the crowds. Taking a break from Prom preparations are Rob- in McArdle, Anne Ricci, Amy Godart, and Laurie Tomcyzkowski. It was such an honor! Everyone looked so great— I was so surprised, exclaimed Camilla Ericson, Queen of the Junior Prom, 1988. The Prom, The Time Of My Life, became a reality for its participants long before it took place on the evening of May 21, 1988. Deliberation about decorations, hiring a deejay, and finding teacher chaperones had kept the Prom Commit- tee busy for many previous months. However, it was the final day of decorating that pulled the class together and transformed the gym. The evening arrived and passed by in a flash. All too quickly, the clock struck midnight and the Prom ended. But, the night did not end, and many went on to other houses, wanting the night to continue. A big thanks goes to Mr. Maxwell, Mrs. Gullage, and the chaperones who took the time to ensure that at the Prom, we all had The Time Of Our Lives. Paul Cronin and Lisa Getty arrive at the Prom full of smiles. Jim Paton takes his dancing partner for a whirl. Tina Jones, Leslie Fryer. and Sara Puffer smile and say, Only 4,997 more to blow up! Friends Donna Coughlin and Angie Freeman enjoy the sunshine. SBII Saturday September 24 dawned clear and sunny, perfect for the annual Bedford Day celebrations. The day kicked off with the parade, led by the Bedford Fire De- partment engines and ladders, and Fire Departments from other towns, some as near as Blllerica and Burlington, some as far away as New Hampshire and the Cape. Their sirens could be heard a mile away. Next came the town officials, who took their places on the reviewing stand and saluted the main body of the parade. This was led by the B.H.S. marching band, complete with majorettes and flag squad. Drill Teams from B.H.S. and neighboring Air Force bases, and various community based groups, such as the Rainbow Girls, completed the line-up. After the parade, there was the chance to enjoy food and fun at the booths set up by community organizations. The Citizens Scholarship Foundation challenged peo- ples ' minds with a quiz game, while the Parents of Music Students (P.O.M.S.) sold food as a fund-raiser. As always, Bedford Day provided a way for School and Community, young and old, to get together and have a day of fun. It also gave us the opportunity to renew our pride in being part of the histor- ic Town of Bedford. Where are you, Miss Manning? Cheerleaders Jill Oblas, Suzi Ferro.
