Until now you have been watched, guided, and cared for. Now you must enter a world where you make your own deci- sions. The success of future events in your lives will be based on how well you make those decisions. Your parents and teachers have given you instructions and experience in thinking for yourselves. Now it is up to you to develop the confidence in yourselves to make those things which have been given you work for you. Thomas J. Duggan Principal TO THE CLASS OF 1976 . . . As you leave the Bedford Public Schools and seek out your place in industry or in the professions, we urge you to look back upon all that has been good in your educational program and hold it as a memory. Also never forget what perhaps you might feel was lacking in your education so that you might allow your influ- ence in the future to correct such practices. Public education is an American heritage which you will be called upon as citizens to maintain and improve. Please take every opportunity, as adults, to influence not only the American school system but all branches of the American society with which you might come in contact. Best wishes for your future.
