It is imperative that you, the students of the graduating class of 1969, through your educa- tion at Bedford High School and in your future endeavors, be they education or otherwise, sin- cerely attempt to serve the best interests of your country and the world community. This can be accomplished through the desire to serve others, by reading widely, by participating in construc- tive activities, and by recognizing propaganda and indoctrination as separate from factual information. By the application of self-control and the exercising of positive action directed toward the betterment of all, each of you will have given back something of real value to society in return for the wonderful opportunities which our present-day society has extended to you. You will be given a greater sense of contributing, belonging, and controlling. Your ideas will be solicited and used.
