This all paid off in being known throughout the community as the Beautiful People of Bedford High School. 117 811 „QNIM 3H1 HUM 3N0D„ A recreated southern plantation set the stage for the 1971 Prom. Queen Debbie reigned while Pam and Audrey added to the dignity. The entertainment was performed by the southern belles, followed by the coronation dance, “Gone With the Wind”. The arduous planning and preparation has now faded in glorious memories. 119 The climax of the parade was the announcement of the winning floats, Glee and Friendship clubs. However, the following night was to unfold an even greater excitement. An upset in the G.C.C. conference—a Bedford victory. The half time show was the pagentry with the crowning of Pam. Attendants Kim and Jean added a glory to the memories of that night. 121 122 An October night —the Autumn Dusk”. Cornstalks, pumpkins and leaves set the stage while the “Ambleside” provided the music. The can- didates sat pensive as Friendship announced the queen, Jean Mazur. The ecstacy of this night will always remain for the queen and her court, Sandy, Andrea, and Amy. 123 Yearbook King Queen picked by Tim Ryan Associates, The Merchandise Mart 420 Prospect, Cleveland, Ohio. 124 Jim Hixenbaugh Robert Radigan Frank Pirrone Richard Lograsso Steve Kinsack King and Queen .... 1972 Linda Zdanowicz Lorrie Loga It was really difficult to choose the seven most photogenic girls and boys out of the Senior Class. After selecting these people the photos were sent to a modeling agency. Based on their decisions we proudly present The 1972 Epic King and Queen. Sweetheart Ball The Beatles' film “Yellow Submarine'' was the theme for the 1972 Sweetheart Ball. In the midst of this underwater setting Queen Amy and King Bruce reigned. Attendants also added to this glorious night; Senior attendants Beth Waligorski and Dan Sutherin, Cheryl Krauss and Tom Plutt, Junior attendants Corrine Rongone and Tony Giamello, Sophomore Attendants Pam Schultz and Frank Martin. Portholes, submarines, and film characters created the atmosphere while the Fully Assembled provided the music. 127 Senior Attendant Beth Waligorski Dan Sutherin Junior Attendant Corrine Rongone Tony Giamello Queen Amy Mallin King Bruce Heaton Senior Attendant Cheryl Krauss Tom Plutt Sophomore Attendant Pam Schultz Frank Martin Moments to Remember 128 Seniors . . . Through the twelve years we've spent in school each individual has tried to piece together a future plan. Many changes have taken place which have affected our lives, but all we can say is we paved a way for future classes. There are many more experiences to share and obstacles to combat but these years of schooling have made us well adjusted. On the following four pages, the Epic presents with pride the 1972 Hall of Fame. Becky Weagraff Bob Hubbard Amy Mallin 147 Semi-Finalists Dan Sutherin Individuality is hard to sustain when with peers. Dan's un- iqueness springs from his per- sonal qualities. A figure of his own he will always be remembered. Beth Waligorski Her excellence in music has made Beth well known, though this is only a part of her diversified talents. A friend of all she always finds time to fulfill her com- mitments to the many activities of which she belongs. Bruce Starks A dedicated student and athlete, Bruce has been the leader of our Senior class. One could never doubt his willingness to contribute his time and effort to complete a job. Deb Frygier The sincerity and dedication Deb- bie displays in all her endeavors is reflected in the admiration of her classmates. A language all her own is a smile. 149 Rory White A Varsity man in his sophomore year Rory achieved a position of which to be proud. His excellence in football will always be remembered as well as a friendly guy. Pam Sohm Pam has tried to arouse some Bedford spirit through her work as a Varsity cheerleader. Her beauty and personality has achieved for her many rewards. 150 Kim Kessel Mike Daugherty His excellence in sports has won him state as well as local recognit- ion. Mike's athletic abilities are well balanced by his intellectual capacity. Business has been her main field of interest. As a first year class officer Kim has been well received by her peers.
